A man can stand on a mountain
A man can sit on a chair
A man can cry from a mountain
A man sits on a chair
And a mountain jars
A mountain can jar
With the flat
A screech
A high-frequency wave
On the taut line
Of
Forever
But a man sits on a chair
A man sits on a chair
And a chair sits
A chair sits
On
The floor
But a mountain waves
In the mind
Of the man
And shudders
And resonates
And is the floor!
Man has made the chair
The chair has been made
By a man
To balance
To sit
To perch
Abrupt
A dot
Of a man
At work
On his chair
Which sits
On the floor
Of the ceiling
Of the office
Underneath
He sits on his chair
That sits on the floor
Of the ceiling
Of the office
Underneath
That sits
A pencil mark
On the unending gradient
Of forever
That does not
And shall not sit
But rides
On the backs
Of mountains
Where man
At least
Can stand.
