Bluebeard: The Seventh Wife
by Violette Taghavi
page 7

Bluebeard's eyes were bloodshot red, his face was distorted as his mind didn't know what feeling to show. Randomly, Bluebeard picked a key from among the bunch that he held. It was the right key. He got ready to kill once more and stormed in, but only to find Violet in velvet veils sitting on her bed rocking back and forwards praying forgiveness. Bluebeard let go of his sword. How could he have doubted his seventh wife? He wanted to run towards her and take hold of her but before he could take another step he dropped to the floor. There was a knife in his back. Violet's brother, hiding behind the opened door, had killed him.
